For Chef Dillon Barney, also known as Chef Nesse, French toast is more than a menu item. It is a memory, a feeling, and the foundation of a vision that has been in the making for over a decade.
Growing up, French toast was a childhood favorite. Chef Dillon could always tell when his grandmother was in the kitchen making it. The warm scent of cinnamon, butter, and vanilla would drift through the house before the first slice ever hit the plate. That aroma meant comfort. It meant family. It meant love.
As he got older, that early connection turned into curiosity. What else could French toast become? Over the last 10+ years, Chef Dillon has experimented, refined, and reimagined recipes, transforming a nostalgic breakfast staple into a bold culinary concept. Stuffed. Infused. Elevated. Reinvented.
Along the way, he noticed something missing in the breakfast world. Pancakes have IHOP. Waffles have Waffle House. But French toast, despite being just as iconic, has never had a brand dedicated solely to celebrating it.
That realization sparked the creation of STUFF’T.
